I met Ed while he was stationed with the U.S. Army in my hometown, Heidelberg, Germany.  I would take in laundry to supplement the family’s income; I did Ed’s laundry, and continued doing his laundry for the next 49 years!
This is me, shortly after I arrived in the U.S. in 1953.

kathysusisqw Four years later, our daughter Kathy was born.  She still has her German-made doll, Susie — and also named her daughter Susie!

Sadly, Bernie passed away after 14 good years.  Recently, I found this Maltese boy at the local shelter and decided he would be less of a rabbit hunter and still a good companion for me.   I named him “Kibbi” and am looking forward to many good walks and playing in the yard with him. :-D
